Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Sovereign IAS collects through https://sovereignias.com, why we collect it, and your rights. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it.

1. What we collect

When you sign in

• Your full name, which you type once after your first sign-in.
• If you buy a pass: the email address (for your receipt), State and City you give at checkout.
• If you sign in with your phone: your mobile number.
• Sign-in (mobile number + one-time password) is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

When you use the Platform

• Your test attempts: answers, scores, time taken and dates.
• Courses you have bought and your progress in them.

When you pay

• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment ID, order ID, amount, date and payment status.
• We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking details. These go straight to Razorpay, which handles them under its own privacy policy and RBI rules.

When you contact us

• Through the contact form: your name, the email address or phone number you give for our reply, the subject and your message. If you are signed in, the form also stores your account ID so we can find your account.
• By email: your email address and what you write.

Analytics

• We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. If we add them later, we will update this policy before doing so.
• If we switch on privacy-friendly analytics in future, it will only count page views and a few app actions (a test started or submitted, the Destiny Pass screen opened, a purchase completed) to learn which pages and features are used. It will not record your name, mobile number, email, account ID, answers or payment details, will not be used for advertising, and will not run in browsers that send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. We will name the provider here and change the date of this policy when we switch it on.

Device data

• Like all websites, our hosting provider (Google Firebase) may log basic technical data such as IP address, device type and time of visit, for security and to keep the site running.

2. Why we use it

• To create and run your account and let you sign in.
• To save your test results and show your progress.
• To give you access to courses you have paid for.
• To process payments and keep payment records.
• To reply to your questions and complaints.
• To keep the Platform secure and prevent misuse, such as account sharing.
• To meet legal and tax duties.

We use your data only for these purposes. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.

3. Your consent

By signing in and using the Platform, you consent to us using your data as described here. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete your account (see section 6). Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. Without this data we cannot provide your account, saved results or paid courses.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the Platform:

• Google Firebase (sign-in, database, hosting)
• Razorpay (payments)
• YouTube (when you watch our embedded or linked videos, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies)

We may also share data if the law, a court or a government authority requires it.

5. How long we keep it

• Account and test data: while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete your account.
• Payment records: kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after account deletion.
• Contact form messages and emails: up to 1 year after your query is closed.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or update it;
• ask us to delete your account and data;
• withdraw your consent;
• raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India;
• nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

To make any request, including data deletion, write to sovereignias.help@gmail.com or use the form on our Contact Us page and choose the subject "Privacy / Data deletion". Use the same email or phone number you sign in with, so we can confirm the account is yours. We will act on your request within 30 days.

7. Security

We use the security tools provided by Google Firebase and Razorpay, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and limit access to your data. No online system is fully secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

8. Children

If you are under 18, please use the Platform only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not track children’s behaviour or show them targeted ads.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
